Ideal for birders, this is a beautiful bed and breakfast run by Luis and Nancy Calves. A wide variety of hummingbirds and other birds are attracted to the habitat and feeders at Chuparosa. Luis is an excellent birder, very helpful in pointing out birds visiting at the site. At the Chuparosa I met Alan and Jo Stankevitz, two visiting and friendly birders from Wisconsin. Alan was successful in finding and photographing the Elegant Trogon, carrying his 600 mm lens, tripod and camera way up the canyon to see this target bird.
