The Venice Rookery is a small island in a small pond at South Venice, Florida. It's a great place to watch nesting Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Anhingas and other birds such as Cattle Egrets. This gallery includes a sequence of photos showing stick passing between Great Blue Herons. It also shows Great Egrets in breeding plumage.
