From the Barbara Frost, visitors to the island are taken ashore by a small skiff, to step carefully onto a concrete ramp and rail. Capt. Andy Patterson and his crew were very skilled at making sure we all made a safe transfer and with our photography gear. We were met by the warden in charge of operations at the island, who explained to us the rules of conduct while visiting.
