Marbled Godwit

Limosa fedoa

Rockport Beach Park, Rockport, TX

Marbled Godwits are smaller than Long-billed Curlews, and have straight rose-color black-tipped bills, but the patterns of their mantles and primaries are similar. This bird was foraging in the surf along with six other Marbled Godwits, and mingling with a large group of Black Skimmers.
