Although less numerous than snow geese or cranes, the Bosque is home to many other migratory and permanent resident birds. The northern pintail population in November exceeds 10,000 and there are many other ducks including green-winged teal, Northern shoveler, greater and lesser scaup, canvasback, etc. There are also many raptors including Bald eagle, Golden eagle, American kestrel, Coopers hawk, Red-tailed hawk and Northern harrier.
