the alertness of a green-winged teal
This female green-wing teal was busily feeding off the bottom at Weskeag Marsh, a large expanse of shallow salt-water pools and pannes at South Thomaston, Maine. She would occasionally look up, as in this image, for potential predators. I transformed this image in Photoshop, using Color EFex filters, to enhance the brown feathers to gold - and to accentuate the teal colors.
