Cyanthus latirostris

This is a medium-sized hummingbird with a coral-black slightly decurved bill which is dark red at the lower mandible base. The male has an iridescent dark blue gorget, and apple-green flanks and nape. Southeast Arizona is the northernmost extent of its migratory range out of Mexico and Central America.
