Whooping Cranes are spectacular large wading birds, mostly white, with dark legs and a dark red crown plus a black moustache extending from the bill to the lower face. They have jet black wing tips, easily visible in flight. These charismatic stately birds stand 5 feet tall and have a 7 foot wingspan.
